In the beginning
99% of people on the planet want to be rich, right? I was one of those people. I spent lots of time thinking how to make more money with a foolish belief that having money would make all of my problems disappear. I thought being rich would make me happy! However, this isn’t always the case. This is because whilst trying to achieve financial success other parts of your life suffer. Once in a training session I had to work out how much money I wanted to earn and then divide that by the possible number of hours I could work. This would enable me to realise what I had to charge hourly. At that point I realised I didn’t want to be just rich. I didn’t want to be rich because I was working every hour of the day except for when I was traveling, eating or sleeping. I wanted to have a life. Anyone can make more money! It is simple the more hours you work the more money you will earn. However, as the saying says “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Now I am not dull and I don’t want to sacrifice my life for money. I am pretty sure being rich but with no time to do anything isn’t going to make me happy, which is the essential reason I want to be rich. It was at this moment I changed my goal. I no longer wanted to be make more money, but I wanted to make more money while I slept. This would allow me to increase my earnings, whilst still allowing me the time to enjoy the money. Isn’t that the combination everyone is dying to achieve?
